Curtis McElhinney Gets Final Nod Of Regular Season
7 years agoThe Maple Leafs have tapped goalie Curtis McElhinney for a second straight start Monday as the Buffalo Sabres visit the Air Canada Centre. McElhinney dropped Saturday’s 3-1 decision to the Winnipeg Jets but gets a plus matchup Monday against the Sabres. Prior to the loss, McElhinney was fantastic in consecutive wins in mid-March, including a shutout over the Canadiens on St. Patrick’s Day. The Leafs aim to split the season series with Buffalo with a win Monday. McElhinney’s victory over them on March 15 was the only time Toronto has beaten Buffalo this season. Owners can start McElhinney comfortably, as he’s been very serviceable for Toronto when called upon.
