Cubs And Craig Kimbrel Agree To Terms
6 years agoKen Rosenthal of The Athletic is reporting that the Chicago Cubs and free-agent closer Craig Kimbrel have reached an agreement. The terms of the contract have not been given, but this is a huge addition for a Cubs bullpen that has struggled at times this season. It is also a great spot for fantasy owners, as the Cubs should offer Kimbrel plenty of save situations. It's unclear how long it'll take Kimbrel to be up and running as the regular ninth-inning man for the Cubbies, but he should be 100 percent owned in all leagues now. His presence as the closer for the Cubs the rest of the way is obviously bad news for anyone that has invested in Steve Cishek and Pedro Strop.
