Cristopher Sanchez Making The Start Against Mets
1 year agoPhiladelphia Phillies left-hander Cristopher Sanchez (hand) will make the start on Saturday against the visiting New York Mets. Sanchez was hit on his left hand by a comebacker in his last start last weekend against the Oakland Athletics, but X-rays were negative. The 26-year-old southpaw has made only two starts in 2023 for the Phillies, allowing three runs on six hits while walking three and striking out 10 in 8 1/3 innings against the Colorado Rockies and Athletics. The Mets should present more challenges for Sanchez, although they rank only 11th in the National League with a .716 OPS as a team. This will be only Sanchez's seventh major-league start, so he's a pretty risky fantasy streamer in DFS and deeper leagues.
