The Dallas Cowboys released defensive tackle Gerald McCoy (quadriceps) via injury waiver on Tuesday after his season officially came to an end after suffering a torn quadriceps tendon. McCoy had signed a three-year, $18.3 million deal in the offseason, but the Cowboys had a clause in the contract that offered them a chance to cut ties with minimal repercussions in the event of a specific injury after the team identified McCoy as having "right knee chronic quad tendinitis and related structures." The veteran pass-rusher will lose out on $2.5 million in base salary guarantees. Dallas has hopes of re-signing McCoy once he's healthy, but it's not a guarantee.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
