Corey Seager Named World Series MVP
4 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager was named the World Series Most Valuable Player after earning the same honor in the National League Championship Series. Seager hit .400 with two home runs, five RBI and six walks in six games in the World Series against the Rays. He hit .310 with five home runs and 11 RBI in the seven-game win over the Braves in the NLCS, including three long balls in Games 5 and 6. The previous MVP of both the League Championship Series and the World Series in the same year was Giants lefty Madison Bumgarner in 2014. Only eight players have ever accomplished that, and they've all been in the National League.
