Corey Dickerson Takes Batting Practice Monday
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder Corey Dickerson (foot) took batting practice for the first time on Monday with the team since being acquired in a trade from the Miami Marlins. Dickerson has been out since mid-June with a bruised foot, though, and it's unlikely that he'll see regular playing time in an outfield that includes Randal Grichuk, Lourdes Gurriel Jr., Teoscar Hernandez and George Springer. The 32-year-old veteran left-handed slugger was hitting .260/.321/.377 with two home runs, 27 runs scored and 14 RBI for the Marlins in 204 at-bats before his injury. It'll likely take an injury ahead of him for Dickerson to become relevant in AL-only or deep mixed leagues the rest of 2021. And he still isn't back from the injured list, either.
