Corey Dickerson Has Been Hitting Second
2 years agoWashington Nationals outfielder Corey Dickerson has hit in the two-hole in all three of his Grapefruit League games so far, and manager Dave Martinez has praised him as a "professional hitter." There's a chance the Nats keep the 33-year-old veteran near the top of the lineup when regular season games begin at the end of March. It's indicative of the state of Washington's roster rebuild, as Dickerson hasn't done much at the plate in recent seasons. He hit .267/.300/.399 with a career-low .698 OPS, six home runs, 36 RBI and 28 runs scored in 297 plate appearances and 96 games with the St. Louis Cardinals last year. Dickerson won't kill your batting average in NL-only leagues, but he probably won't provide much else.
