Cordarrelle Patterson Sits Out Of Practice
4 years agoChicago Bears kick returner/running back Cordarrelle Patterson (knee) and defensive tackle Akiem Hicks (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. Patterson avoided a serious knee injury in the Week 15 win over the Vikings, but it doesn't mean that he'll be able to play in Week 16 against the Jaguars. Losing the 29-year-old for this weekend would be a strain on the team's kick-return game, while rookie Artavis Pierce could see more work in a backup role behind David Montgomery, who saw an insane 32 carries last weekend. Patterson has just 17 carries in the last three weeks behind Montgomery, so it's not like he was seeing a big workload to begin with. The offense and running game has been flowing heavily through Montgomery in recent weeks.
