Cordarrelle Patterson Gaining Ground On Mike Davis?
3 years agoAtlanta Falcons running back Mike Davis was expected to see the lion's share of the carries in his first year with the team, but Cordarrelle Patterson has made a bigger impact through the first two weeks and deserves steady touches. AtlantaFalcons.com's Scott Bair thinks that Davis' workload will likely be higher than Patterson's over the course of the year, but it might be closer to a 60-40 split. Davis is averaging 3.6 yards per carry, while Patterson is at 4.6, but the running game in general must be more efficient. Atlanta's running game should be more productive in Week 3 against the New York Giants, but Davis' production so far should make him a fairly unattractive RB3/flex option with Patterson breathing down his neck.
