Cooper Kupp Has A High-Ankle Sprain
2 years agoLos Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp's (ankle) initial X-rays were negative, so he's likely looking at more of a high-ankle sprain instead of a serious fracture or break that would take a multi-month recovery into the offseason and spring workouts. However, Kupp will miss time, but his timetable is still being determined. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that a person familiar with Kupp's diagnosis said it "doesn't look good." High-ankle sprains can keep players out for up to six weeks, so Kupp could be out for over a month, depending on how he recovers. There's a chance that fantasy managers may not have the 29-year-old All-Pro before the playoffs start. In his absence, Allen Robinson II, Van Jefferson, Ben Skowronek and Tyler Higbee will have elevated roles in the passing game. Perhaps the Rams look to go back to free-agent Odell Beckham Jr.
