Washington Capitals left wing Conor Sheary scored his first two goals with the team in a 6-3 win over the New York Islanders. Going into Thursday's contest, Sheary had recorded just one point through five games. Before posting two goals in the contest, Sheary had just two shots on goal all season. The Capitals had a five-goal second period, which included back-to-back tallies scored by Sheary. The Capitals have been outstanding so far with a record of 5-0-3 and have extended their point streak to eight games. This streak has continued despite the team not having forwards Alex Ovechkin, Evgeny Kuznetsov, defenseman Dmitry Orlov, and goaltender Ilya Samsonov for the last four games because of COVID-19 protocol. Washington will look to stay hot as they face the Boston Bruins on Saturday.--Andrew Lennox - RotoBaller
