Connor McGovern To Miss Rest Of The Season
3 years agoNew York Jets center Connor McGovern (knee) avoided an ACL injury in the Week 16 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, but he is going to be out for a while, according to head coach Robert Saleh. Later in the day, the Jets put him on Injured Reserve, along with tight end Trevon Wesco (knee). McGovern will seek a second opinion on his MCL injury, and it's unknown if he'll need to undergo surgery. With only two games left in the regular season, McGovern is unlikely to return this year. McGovern started all 15 games for Gang Green this year and was ranked by Pro Football Focus as the No. 10 center with a 75.8 grade. His absence to close out the year will be bad news for rookie quarterback Zach Wilson.
