Colts Agree To Bring In Gardner Minshew
2 years agoThe Indianapolis Colts agreed to an undisclosed deal with free-agent quarterback Gardner Minshew on Thursday, according to a source. The Colts' search for a new QB lands them Minshew Mania after veteran Matt Ryan failed in 2022, was benched and ultimately released this week. Indy also still has Nick Foles and Sam Ehlinger on their roster, but barring another addition at the position, Minshew should enter 2023 as their starter. He has experience with new head coach Shane Steichen from their last two years together with the Philadelphia Eagles, and Minshew has made 24 starts (32 games played) in the last four seasons for the Jags and Eagles. In an offense that may not be as ground-based under Steichen, Minshew profiles as a high-end QB2 for fantasy managers in his new locale.
