Colt Keith Promoted To Triple-A
1 year agoDetroit Tigers infield prospect Colt Keith was promoted from Double-A Erie to Triple-A Toledo on Monday. The club's No. 1 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, earned the promotion by hitting an impressive .325/.391/.585 with a .977 OPS, a career-high 14 home runs, 18 doubles, two triples, 50 RBI, two stolen bases and 43 runs scored in 59 games at Erie. The 21-year-old will now try to keep it going at the plate at the highest level of the minor leagues, and he could make his major-league debut in Detroit later this year if he continues to play well. Keith doesn't stand out with his speed or his glove, but he has a chance to become an impact bat at the big-league level sooner than later. He can hit for power and average and will likely stick at third base because of his lack of speed.
