Colt Emerson Snaps Power Skid on Tuesday
Colt Emerson went 1-for-5 with a home run during their contest against High-A Tri-City. Over his last five games, Emerson has begun to heat up at the plate. Over this stretch, he has posted a .300/.364/.600 line with a double, triple, and a home run. Prior to this recent surge, Emerson held a modest .200/.297/.271 line with just 17 total hits over his last 21 contests. His home run on Tuesday was also his first round-tripper since May 18. Through 53 games with High-A this season, Emerson has struggled at times, holding a .244/.341/.378 line with five doubles and five home runs. Given his lack of consistent success at High-A this season, fantasy managers should expect the No. 19-ranked prospect in the sport to spend most of the season at this level. If he continues to turn the corner, he could earn a late-season taste of Double-A.
