Colston Loveland Goes To Bears At Pick No. 10 Of NFL Draft
The Chicago Bears selected Michigan tight end Colston Loveland with the 10th overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft on Thursday night. The Bears already have Cole Kmet as their TE1, but Loveland will join the organization to give them more depth at the position. Loveland is an excellent athlete that can make plays down the field and stretch the field for the defense. He also has run-after-the catch ability that can threaten the defense at all levels of the field. The 21-year-old is the ultimate joker in this draft and will give young quarterback Caleb Williams another strong pass-catcher alongside receivers DJ Moore and Rome Odunze and tight end Kmet. Loveland has a bright future in the NFL, but for fantasy purposes, it will be hard to get too excited about him in single-year leagues unless Kmet misses time with an injury. Loveland is recovering from shoulder surgery but should be ready for training camp this summer.

The Kansas City Chiefs defense will take on the New York Jets at home in Week 9. Savion Williams Has Limited Fantasy Appeal in Week 9 Against New England
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Savion Williams continues to see regular playing time, but his receiving opportunities remain limited heading into Week 9 against New England. Williams caught one of two targets for five yards against Carolina last week and added an 18-yard run. Since returning from injured reserve in Week 6, his targets have declined from four to three to two over three games. Williams has recorded eight receptions for 84 yards without a touchdown this season, despite playing 55% of the offensive snaps against Carolina. Christian Watson (ribs) was limited in practice throughout the week but carries no injury designation for Sunday. Christian Watson Off the Injury Report, Will Play in Week 9
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson (rib) is off the injury report and will play in his team's Week 9 matchup against the New England Patriots, per Matt Schneidman of The Athletic. Watson was limited in practice this week by a rib injury, but he is apparently good to go against New England. The 27-year-old has had the most productive season of his career by far in 2026, recording 42 catches for 708 yards and six touchdowns on 66 targets across eight games. His red zone production has slowed down slightly in recent weeks, but Watson has still seen at least eight targets in every game but one this season. Emmett Johnson Could See More Touches Against Jets
Kansas City Chiefs running back Emmett Johnson could find himself some more involvement in the offense this Sunday against the New York Jets. Despite only handling one carry for 15 yards in last week's loss to the Denver Broncos, Johnson made a huge impact in the receiving game. Johnson caught five passes for 128 yards and a touchdown in his limited snap role, breaking off a 73-yard catch-and-run that culminated in a trip to the end zone. The 23-year-old out of Nebraska has been an impactful player nearly every time he's touched the ball this season, breaking tackles left and right, and he will get the chance to continue his impressive play against the Jets. The Jets defense has been a soft matchup for running backs in recent weeks, so Johnson could be set up nicely to build on his momentum. Kenneth Walker is still the RB1 on the team, but Johnson could earn a few more carries and targets per game if he continues displaying his explosiveness and per-touch efficiency. Johnson is ranked RB47 in our RotoBaller Week 9 PPR rankings, making him a low-end flex option this week. While a path to weekly flex viability could open up soon, it isn't open yet, so fantasy managers should treat Johnson as more of a stash candidate with tons of upside.

Cyrus Allen Could Earn More Targets In Week 9
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Cyrus Allen caught two of his three targets for 20 yards in last week's loss to the Denver Broncos. Despite the loss, the rookie receiver finished the game fourth on the team in yards. Allen also played his most snaps of the season in Week 8, indicating that the coaching staff is gaining more trust in the young wideout. Given the team's struggles to produce from the wide receiver position, Allen could be the man to step into the WR2 role behind Rashee Rice. It also helps that Allen and Rice win in different areas of the field so the duo could easily coexist. Allen will look to continue his upward trend this Sunday against the New York Jets. The Jets' defense has been middle-of-the-pack against wide receivers this year, making this matchup one that Allen could succeed against. Brandon Aiyuk's Arrest Warrant Remains Active
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk still has an active arrest warrant stemming from an alleged December 2025 speeding incident near Levi's Stadium, according to Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area. The Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office confirmed Friday that the warrant remains active. Aiyuk faces a misdemeanor charge of exhibition of speed connected to a driving video he posted online, with the warrant first reported publicly in June. The development comes as Aiyuk and his new agent, Drew Rosenhaus, prepare to meet with the 49ers on Friday afternoon after the receiver filed paperwork seeking reinstatement from the reserve/left squad list. The NFL had not approved his reinstatement as of Friday morning. There is no confirmed connection between the outstanding warrant and that delay, and San Francisco has yet to determine how it will handle Aiyuk's return. The 28-year-old has not played since suffering a significant knee injury in October 2024.

Cincinnati Bengals Defense Could Force Turnovers Against Falcons
The Cincinnati Bengals defense will face the Atlanta Falcons in Madrid this Sunday. After being one of the most improved units to begin the season, the Bengals defense took a step back in last week's 43-36 win over the Tennessee Titans. The Cincinnati defensive unit just gave up its most points of the season in Week 8 and now heads into a matchup with the highest over/under of the week. Even if this game turns into a back-and-forth affair, the Bengals defense has racked up 23 sacks, seven recovered fumbles, and four interceptions this season. With the turnover-prone nature of Atlanta quarterback Michael Penix and the aggressiveness of this defense, they will probably force a few turnovers and get the QB to the ground multiple times. This unit will be without safety Kyle Dugger again, but should be able to make do in his absence. The Bengals defense is ranked seventh in our RotoBaller Week 9 rankings, making it a top-10 unit this week.

Evan McPherson Will Look To Extend Perfection In Week 9
Cincinnati Bengals kicker Evan McPherson made all five of his extra-point attempts in last week's win over the Tennessee Titans. With those five kicks, McPherson extended his streak of perfection this season. The Bengals kicker has yet to miss a kick this season, nailing 24 extra-point attempts and 10 field goals. McPherson will look to extend his streak as the team heads to Madrid to face the Atlanta Falcons. In what should be one of the highest-scoring games of the week, there should be plenty of opportunities for McPherson to kick. McPherson is ranked K3 in our RotoBaller Week 9 rankings, making him a start-worthy option at the position. The issue with McPherson is that he hasn't kicked a field goal in the last two games and has only kicked two field goals in the last four games. The Bengals offense has been rolling and finishing drives with touchdowns, but it is unlikely that he goes three straight games without being called on for a field goal. Fantasy managers can plug McPherson right back into lineups since he's been automatic this season.
