Colin Moran Resumes Baseball Activities
4 years agoPittsburgh Pirates first baseman Colin Moran (groin) resumed "light baseball activities" on Wednesday, according to director of sports medicine Todd Tomczyk. "Things are progressing really nicely so far for Colin," Tomczyk said, "and [we are] very optimistic about a return sooner than later." Moran may have avoided a long trip on the injured list after he strained his left groin muscle on Sunday. The 28-year-old was off to a strong start to the season, slashing .297/.352/.468 with four home runs, 10 runs scored and 19 RBI in 111 at-bats before his injury. Fantasy managers in deeper leagues will be hoping he can pick up where he left off when he returns from the injured list. With Todd Frazier no longer with the team, Phillip Evans has shifted to first base in the last three games.
