New York Yankees outfielder Clint Frazier was named the team's starting left fielder by manager Aaron Boone on Wednesday. That announcement should come as no surprise after Frazier posted a .905 OPS in 39 games last season, but the 26-year-old's playing time has been unusually inconsistent so far in his MLB career and it's encouraging to see the Yankees commit to his role as a starter. Although fantasy managers should expect Frazier's performance to take a step back in 2021 after his wOBA outperformed his xwOBA by 34 points in 2020, the outfielder's patient plate approach (17.8% o-swing rate in 2020) and strong contact quality (.413 xwOBAcon in 2020) make him likely to post an OPS comfortably above .800 once again this season.--Sam Chinitz
