CJ Abrams Scratched On Wednesday
6 months agoWashington Nationals shortstop CJ Abrams has been scratched from Wednesday's starting lineup against the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks for undisclosed reasons. With Abrams now heading to the bench, Nasim Nunez will take his place at shortstop and will bat ninth against Diamondbacks right-hander Brandon Pfaadt. Fantasy baseball managers will want to check back for more information on why the 23-year-old Abrams isn't playing on Wednesday in the series finale. It's possible that he suffered an injury in Tuesday's game when he ran into Corbin Carroll on a stolen-base attempt. Hopefully Abrams doesn't need to miss significant time, as he's in the midst of a breakout year in D.C. with a .261/.313/.478 slash line with 11 homers, 36 RBI and 10 stolen bases in 268 at-bats.
