CJ Abrams Puts Injury Behind Him, Has Three Hits
4 years agoSan Diego Padres shortstop prospect CJ Abrams had three hits on Saturday and is looking like his old self after recently missing a week with an ankle injury. The 20-year-old infielder went hitless in his return from the injury on May 30 but has gone 5-for-15 (.333) over his past four games. He's now hitting .294 with five stolen bases and a .371 on-base average over 22 games. His 124 wRC+ is extremely impressive considering Abrams jumped all the way from Rookie ball to Double-A (with two games in A-ball sandwiched in during the 2019 season). Selected sixth overall in the 2019 draft, this impressive athlete is a must-have dynasty player and could reach the majors in 2022.
