Christian Yelich Still Out Against Marlins
1 year agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich (back) remains out of the starting lineup on Tuesday against the visiting Miami Marlins. Yelich will miss his fourth straight game while dealing with back stiffness, but fantasy managers should continue to consider him day-to-day for now. Sal Frelick is in center field and leading off, Mark Canha is in left field and batting cleanup, and Tyrone Taylor is in right field and hitting in the nine-hole against Marlins right-hander JT Chargois. The 31-year-old Yelich is having a fine 2023 season, slashing .274/.363/.435 with 17 home runs, 31 doubles, a triple, 70 RBI, 27 stolen bases and 97 runs scored in 597 plate appearances over 136 games. His back injury may be the reason why he's gone only 7-for-46 (.152) with a homer, a double, three RBI, 20 strikeouts and nine runs in 13 games (12 starts) since Aug. 25.
