2 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey (ankle) will not take part in practice on Wednesday. McCaffrey has been dealing with an ankle injury for around a month now, but he hasn't missed any games. The 26-year-old carried the ball 19 times for a season-high 121 yards and a touchdown and also caught six passes for 72 yards in the Week 17 overtime win over the Las Vegas Raiders on 85 percent of the offensive snaps. The Niners are most likely just taking it easy on CMC heading into their Week 18 game against the Arizona Cardinals. The Niners still have a chance at the No. 1 overall seed in the NFC and a first-round bye (if the Eagles lose), so McCaffrey should at least start Sunday's game.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
