Christian Arroyo Unlikely To Play In Series Against Twins
2 years agoIt seems as though Boston Red Sox second baseman Christian Arroyo (hamstring) is unlikely to play in the current series against the Minnesota Twins due to a tight hamstring. With Arroyo out on Tuesday, Enrique Hernandez got the start at the keystone on Tuesday against the Twins and right-hander Sonny Gray for the first time since last Sept. 28. The 27-year-old Arroyo left Monday's game early with his hamstring injury and may not return to Boston's lineup until sometime this weekend. If Arroyo is eventually forced to the injured list, Yu Chang will see more regular playing time up the middle for the BoSox. Arroyo has gotten off to a slow start with the bat, going 8-for-50 (.160) with two doubles, three RBI and a stolen base in 16 games played.
