Chris Thompson A Non-Factor In Week 3

Washington Redskins running back Chris Thompson carried the ball six times for just 17 yards and caught just one of his two targets in Sunday's triumph over the Packers. It was a puzzling outing for Thompson, who is usually one of Alex Smith's primary options in the passing game. Washington's early lead was probably the biggest contributing factor to Thompson's lack of involvement, as the Redskins turned to Adrian Peterson to control the clock on the ground. It'd be wise to chalk Week 3 up as an outlier in what should be an otherwise consistently productive year for Thompson. He led the team in receptions, targets and receiving yards coming into Sunday, and the Redskins aren't always going to be able to play things so conservatively.
