Chris Davis Having A Nice Spring
5 years agoBaltimore Orioles first baseman Chris Davis entered Wednesday's spring action leading the team in most offensive categories while batting an absurd .538/.652/1.231 with three home runs. Spring training numbers must always be taken with a grain of salt, but it's nice to see Davis having some success after enduring one of the worst slumps in history with an 0-for-54 stretch in 2019. The soon-to-be 34-year-old hit a career-high 47 homers back in 2015 but has gone downhill quickly and has hit under .200 each of the last two seasons with a combined 28 long balls. Davis' spring success by no means guarantees he'll bounce back to his slugging ways in the regular season. He currently has an ADP of 403. You can avoid him in all mixed leagues and take him as a dollar flier in deep AL-only leagues.
