Chase Young Won't Return To Practice This Week
Washington Commanders defensive end Chase Young (knee) hasn't suffered any setbacks, but the team is being cautious with him and won't start his 21-day window to be activated from Injured Reserve this week, according to a team source. If all goes well with Young's next doctor's visit, he will likely return to practices next week. The 23-year-old could make his season debut in Week 9 against the Minnesota Vikings if he's able to return to practice this week, but that might be an optimistic timeline. Young had surgery last November to fix a torn ACL and MCL in his right knee. The third-year former second overall pick made the Pro Bowl in his rookie season with 7.5 sacks and 32 solo tackles in 15 games, but he took a step back in his sophomore campaign before suffering the devastating knee injury.Read More News
