Charlie Condon Homers in Second Straight Game at Double-A
Charlie Condon went 2-for-4 on Saturday for Double-A Hartford, collecting a single, a solo home run, and he was also hit by a pitch. It was the second straight game with a home run for the Rockies' top-ranked prospect, who is now riding a five-game hit streak, too. The 2024 first-rounder is slashing .297/.400/.514 through 11 games at Double-A, although a high 35.6 percent strikeout rate is something to keep an eye on. The 22-year-old got a late start to the season due to a wrist injury he suffered in the spring, but slashed .312/.431/.420 in 35 games at High-A, which earned him the promotion to Hartford. If he can continue to hit, another promotion could be on the way, and a late-season debut is still on the table.
