Charlie Blackmon, Two Other Rockies Test Positive For COVID-19
4 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Charlie Blackmon and pitchers Phillip Diehl and Ryan Castellani have tested positive for COVID-19 following recent workouts at Coors Field, according to major league sources. One player was showing symptoms and the other two were asymptomatic. All of the other players who were working out were also tested for the virus, but those tests came back negative. As a result, Coors Field has been closed for a week. With the 2020 season not starting until late July, all three players should be good to go. The season will include a special coronavirus-related injury list for players experiencing symptoms or who have tested positive. Blackmon doesn't run much these days, but he still hit 30-plus homers and drove in over 110 runs last year, making the 34-year-old a fine target in the early rounds.
