Charlie Blackmon Raps Four Hits, HR
5 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Charlie Blackmon broke out of his slump in a big way on Sunday when he drilled four hits in Yankee Stadium. It was the first time in franchise history that a player has had a four-hit day in either Yankee Stadium, and it got off on the right foot with a lead-off solo shot. The inning was just the start of a bad day for Yankees stud James Paxton, and Blackmon would finish with the homer, a double, and a pair of singles. Blackmon has been struggling in July, and Sunday only marked his third multi-hit game of the month. Hopefully, this will be enough to get him back to playing like a star for the rest of summer.
