Charlie Blackmon Held Out Wednesday
6 months agoColorado Rockies outfielder Charlie Blackmon (hamstring) is being held out of Wednesday's starting lineup against the visiting division-rival Los Angeles Dodgers. Right-hamstring tightness caused Blackmon to hit the showers early in Tuesday's game, so fantasy managers shouldn't really be surprised the 37-year-old veteran isn't playing the next day. Blackmon is considered day-to-day, but it's unclear if he'll be back for Thursday's series finale. Jake Cave is playing right field and batting seventh, while Elehuris Montero is serving as the designated hitter and batting eighth on Wednesday against Dodgers right-hander Bobby Miller. Blackmon is no longer the big-time power threat that he was earlier in his career with only three home runs, but he's been swinging the bat well in June with a .333 average (19-for-57) with a homer, seven doubles and two RBI in 15 games played.
