San Francisco 49ers defensive end Charles Omenihu was arrested on Monday night after a woman reported that he pushed her to the ground. Police officers observed no physical injuries, but she complained of pain in her arm. Police were called to Omenihu's home in San Jose by a woman claiming to be the 25-year-old's girlfriend. He was released from jail after posting bail. The 49ers released a statement saying that they are aware of the situation and are gathering further information. On top of his arrest, Omenihu is dealing with an oblique injury and his status for the NFC Championship against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday is in question. In his second full season in San Francisco, Omenihu has been a rotational player and recorded 20 tackles (seven solo), three tackles for loss, 16 QB hits, a career-high 4.5 sacks and a forced fumble in 17 regular season games (three starts).--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
