Chargers Agree With Quentin Johnston On Rookie Deal
2 years agoThe Los Angeles Chargers agreed to terms with first-round wide receiver Quentin Johnston on his four-year rookie deal on Thursday. As with all first-round rookies, Johnston will receive a fifth-year option. The 21-year-old was the 21st overall pick of this year's NFL draft. He should have a role in his first NFL season opposite Mike Williams, but he'll also be battling for offensive snaps with Joshua Palmer. Keenan Allen will stay on the inside in the slot. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect too much from the big-bodied, big-play deep threat in 2023, though, unless Williams and Allen missed considerable time again with injuries. Johnston will need to answer questions about his route-running and athleticism.
