Chandler Simpson Remains Out on Monday
Chandler Simpson (finger) remains out of the starting nine for Monday's series opener against the hosting Los Angeles Angels. Jonny DeLuca is making another start in center field and will bat fifth against Angels left-hander Yusei Kikuchi. Bally Sports' Ryan Bass reports that Simpson's index finger continues to progress, though, and he has felt better swinging the bat in the cages. The 24-year-old will test things out defensively before Monday's game against the Angels, but he should be ready to return to the lineup on Tuesday. The speedy Simpson is missing his fourth straight game but should return on Tuesday. The former second-rounder has made an immediate impact in all fantasy leagues in his rookie season, batting just under .300 with 32 steals in 65 games played.
