Chad Green Implodes In Loss To Astros

New York Yankees relief pitcher Chad Green struggled mightily in Sunday's 8-7 loss to the Houston Astros. With runners on second and third in the ninth inning, Green surrendered a two-run double to make it a 7-4 game. He then allowed another double- with the final blow coming on a three-run, game-winning homer by Jose Altuve. The normally-solid Green left pitches in the zone for the Astros to hit and paid the price for it, allowing three or more runs for just the third time this season. Even after the blow-up, he still owns a 2.89 ERA and a strikeout rate over 30 percent. His high barrel rate leaves him prone to the occasional hiccup, but Green should be rostered in most formats as a jack-of-all-trades type reliever.
