With the Philadelphia Phillies having been shut out through the first five innings of Wednesday afternoon’s game against the Baltimore Orioles, they entered the sixth staring at a possible disappointing loss to the lowly opponents. Leading off the inning, however, was the club’s terrific leadoff hitter, Cesar Hernandez, who promptly drilled a game-tying solo home run. It was the 27-year-old’s one of two hits on the day, as he fueled a comeback victory in the rain at Camden Yards. With a final score of 6-1, the club moved to eight games over .500 as they continue their turnaround from an abysmal 2017 season.--RDelgado
