Cedric Mullins Still Sore, Going For MRI
9 months agoBaltimore Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said that outfielder Cedric Mullins (hamstring) is still sore on Tuesday after being pulled from the team's Grapefruit League game early on Monday with hamstring tightness. The team is still considering him day-to-day, but they may have him undergo a precautionary MRI from a baseline standpoint. "It's still a little bit sore. I think he's really positive about it. Still a day-to-day type of thing. We're confident. We have a lot of time left in camp," Hyde said. The O's are going to be cautious with their starting center fielder, but he should be ready for Opening Day on March 28. Mullins' batting average has come down considerably after his breakout in 2021, but the 29-year-old left-handed hitter still offers enough of a power/speed combination to be considered a solid No. 3 outfielder in fantasy in a strong lineup in Baltimore.
