Montreal Canadiens goaltender Cayden Primeau is the starting goaltender for Thursday's home contest versus the defending champion Vegas Golden Knights. The 24-year-old has appeared in two games for the Habs this season, earning a 29-save win over the Detroit Red Wings his last time out. It's been tough sledding for the youngster in his brief NHL time as he owns a career 3.98 goals-against average and an .875 save percentage across 23 appearances (19 starts) in parts of five seasons. He struggled with consistency with the AHL's Laval Rocket last season as well, posting a 3.04 GAA and .909 Sv% across 41 games, going 19-15-6 in that time.--Brenton Kemp
