Casey DeSmith Picks Up Third Shutout Of The Season
Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Casey DeSmith recorded 26 saves on his way to his third shutout of the season on Thursday when the Pens beat Buffalo 5-0. Phil Kessel scored his second straight game-winning goal and was one of four players to register multiple points in the game. He was joined by Sidney Crosby, Nick Bjugstad and Jake Guentzel. DeSmith sits on a 15-11-5 record following the outing, boasting a 2.77 goals-against average and a .916 save percentage. Pittsburgh have a back-to-back set at the weekend, so DeSmith could see some more action very soon.
