Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Casey DeSmith will get the nod for Thursday's battle with the New York Islanders. The Pens goaltending has been a mess this season, but DeSmith has managed to offer some stability lately, winning four of his last five starts. He saved 42 of 45 shots to post a .933 save percentage in his most recent outing on Tuesday against Colorado. The Islanders have won both meetings so far this season, but they are currently playing a lot worse, losing three of their last four games. They have won only once on the road since their last visit to Pittsburgh on Oct. 30, so DeSmith will be a solid option in goal tonight.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
