Florida Panthers left wing Carter Verhaeghe scored a hat trick and added an assist during their 6-3 victory over the New York Islanders on Sunday evening. Verhaeghe would find the back of the net twice in the opening frame, with his first goal coming in the opening minute of the contest. Then, in the third, Verhaeghe would tally his third goal of the game, this time on the power-play. In the final minutes, he would add the secondary assist on Matthew Tkachuk's empty-net goal. This was Verhaeghe's second straight multi-point showing. Over his last 10 games, the 29-year-old has scored five goals and added six helpers. Across 54 total games, Verhaeghe has tallied 41 points (15 goals, 26 helpers). He remains a must-start player in all standard formats, playing on the top line of a potent Florida offense.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
