Carson Wentz Will Start Against Seahawks
3 years agoIndianapolis Colts head coach Frank Reich said that quarterback Carson Wentz (foot) will start on Sunday in the Week 1 season opener against the Seattle Seahawks. Wentz has been practicing in full this week, so it shouldn't be a huge surprise that he will start in his first game in a Colts uniform to kick off the 2021 regular season. Seattle's defense was kind to opposing QBs in fantasy last year, allowing the sixth-most fantasy points per game to the position, but Wentz is operating in a run-first offense and will be missing his No. 1 receiver in T.Y. Hilton this weekend. The 28-year-old flamed out in Philly, but he's in a nice play for a career revival behind a strong offensive line. That doesn't mean he'll be a great fantasy option on a weekly basis, though, and Wentz should be considered a low-end QB2 for his Colts debut.
