Carlos Santana Drives In Two Runs In Loss
7 years agoDespite the Philadelphia Phillies getting blown out by the Milwaukee Brewers at home, there was one player who had a successful game. First baseman Carlos Santana, who batted cleanup, recorded only one hit but managed to drive in two runs in a 12-4 defeat. His first came in the fourth, as he hit a sacrifice fly to cut Philadelphia’s deficit to a whopping 10 runs. In the seventh, he smacked a solo home run to right field, the team’s second run of the game. The shot would kick off a three-run inning, although it wouldn’t matter as the game was well decided by then.
