Carlos Correa Placed On Injured List Wednesday
1 year agoThe Minnesota Twins are placing shortstop Carlos Correa (foot) on the injured list on Wednesday and are recalling outfielder Trevor Larnach from the minors in a corresponding move. The good news for Correa is that he's expected to return from the injured list when he's first eligible on Sept. 29 against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field. The 28-year-old has been dealing with plantar fasciitis in his foot for the entire second half of the season, and the hope is that giving him some rest will get him right for the postseason. The Twins will be short-handed on the infield moving forward, though, after Royce Lewis (hamstring) left Tuesday's game with a hamstring injury as well. Kyle Farmer should be Minnesota's everyday shortstop for the time being until Correa returns.
