Carlos Correa Mired In Deep Slump
6 years agoHouston Astros shortstop Carlos Correa went 0-for-3 Tuesday with a walk and a strikeout in the Astros 5-2 win over the Twins. Correa simply has not been himself since returning to the lineup on August 10. He is only 14-for-82 (.170) with one double, one home run and 12 runs batted in during that span. The All-Star has looked lost at the plate and is hitting only .136 over his last seven games. Correa is too talented to stay down this long but this prolonged slump has really hurt fantasy rosters. There is no scenario where he should be dropped but it may be wise to sit Correa for a few days to see if he can begin to turn it around at the plate.
