Carlos Correa Injured Monday

Houston Astros shortstop Carlos Correa (back) left the game after one inning on Monday with back discomfort. It's especially concerning since Correa missed six weeks last year with lower back soreness. The young shortstop also missed 50 games in 2019 with a fractured rib. Correa struck out in his only at-bat before departing. Check back for more information on the severity of his injury, but be prepared for another long absence if you own him. The 24-year-old is hitting .278/.358/.556 with 19 home runs, 39 runs and 56 RBI in 310 plate appearances, so a long absence would be tough for the Astros and fantasy owners. Jack Mayfield could see more time at the 6 if Correa misses time, although Houston could also elect to move Alex Bregman over to shortstop.
