Carlos Carrasco Wins Without a Quality Start on Saturday
7 years agoCleveland Indians starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco picked up a win on Saturday despite not earning a quality start. He threw 5 2/3 innings, allowing five runs on seven hits while striking out eight. He'd gone three straight starts where he'd earned quality starts but only posted one win in those three, so it was more or less justice that he didn't have a great start on Saturday but still earned a win. His ERA rose to 3.98, but the 71 strikeouts in 72 innings will play in all formats.
