Montreal Canadiens were able to come to a contract agreement with free-agent forward Mike Hoffman on Wednesday. Hoffman signed a three-year deal worth $13.5 million with the Habs. He spent just one season in St. Louis, scoring 17 goals and adding 19 helpers in 52 regular-season games. The 31-year-old could provide some offensive firepower for Montreal as they ranked 17th in the league in regular-season goals scored in 2021. It will be interesting to see where Hoffman fits in for the upcoming season.
