Trackhouse Racing driver Ross Chastain was amazing at the Circuit of the Americas last year. If it had not been for the heavy rains, the No. 1 car might have won the race. Chastain likely had the fastest car. According to speed data, there were times where he was a second faster. This year, with some results under him, can Chastain do it again? Since some mistakes at Fontana cost him a good finish, he has a third-place showing and two second-place finishes. In practice and qualifying, it appeared Chastain was carrying the speed again, but there was a driver-box issue of sorts.
