Can Jonathan Lucroy Turn His Season Around?
5 years agoLos Angeles Angels catcher Jonathan Lucroy will try and put his disappointing first half behind him when the team opens up a series on Friday against the Mariners. Lucroy enjoyed a promising first two months of the season, slugging seven home runs through his first 151 at-bats and posted a .493 slugging percentage in the month of May. But it has been all downhill from there, posting a .169 batting average in June and racking up only two extra-base hits over his last 75 at-bats. He has only six runs batted in over his last 27 games played and if this trend continues the veteran could see less playing time. Lucroy is not on the fantasy radar to open the second half of the season.
