Cameron Smith shot a seven-over par at TPC Sawgrass, missing the cut by eight strokes. Smith, who came into the tournament with some lofty expectations, once again faltered and is now 0-for-2 in his career at The Players Championship. The 24-year-old Austrailian golfer feels like an ideal fit for the course but for whatever reason can't seem to figure it out. Smith ranks 10th on tour in strokes gained around the green, and that stat alone should make him a perennial contender at TPC Sawgrass. Smith came into the week ranked 62nd on tour in strokes gained approach but after losing negative -7.380 strokes at The Players, he has fallen all the way down to 106th for the season. Cameron Smith will not participate in the AT&T Bryon Nelson this week.--Spencer Aguiar - RotoBaller
